The government and military of Bahrain have strongly condemned the air strikes launched by Iran against Bahraini territory. The Bahraini military claimed that its air defense systems successfully destroyed multiple Iranian missiles and projectiles. This was reported by Al Jazeera.
In a statement issued today, Wednesday (September 2), the Bahraini military asserted that Iran is persisting in heinous and continuous acts of aggression targeting the civilians of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Highlighting the military’s high level of combat readiness, the statement confirmed that the General Command has placed all military units and weaponry on maximum alert to safeguard the nation’s sovereignty and security.
Amidst the attacks and escalating tensions, Bahrain’s Ministry of Interior issued an emergency alert—the third in six hours—advising citizens to remain calm and seek shelter in the nearest safe location. Additionally, a post on X (formerly Twitter) urged everyone to rely solely on official channels for the latest updates.
Meanwhile, General Yadollah Javani, the Deputy Head for Political Affairs of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), issued a stern warning to Arab nations, demanding the immediate expulsion of US troops from their soil.
In a statement published by the Iranian news agency Tasnim, Javani warned that it would be in their best interest to expel Americans and reclaim their military bases. He stated that Tehran would not hesitate to launch devastating counter-attacks against any territory used to facilitate strikes on Iran. He specifically named Kuwait, Bahrain, and Jordan in this context.
