Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated that there are currently no negotiations with the United States; messages are merely being exchanged through intermediaries. He further added that direct talks would not resume until Washington pays compensation for violating a signed memorandum of understanding.
Araghchi noted that intermediaries are still exploring ways to restart negotiations. However, Tehran does not believe talks can resume until the issue regarding the violation of the memorandum is resolved.
He said, “Efforts are underway to pave the way for negotiations. There is no possibility of talks resuming until the United States rectifies its violations.”
