Houthi drone attack on Saudi Aramco oil refinery

Houthi rebels have launched a drone attack on a Saudi Aramco oil refinery located in Saudi Arabia’s Jizan region. Brigadier General Yahya Saree, the military spokesman for the Houthi forces, stated that the refinery in Jizan was struck “accurately and successfully” by a drone on Sunday.

He claimed that in recent days, Saudi Arabia had flown reconnaissance and surveillance drones over the airspace of the Saada and Hajjah provinces in northern Yemen. He stated that the attack was carried out in response to these “provocative actions.”

According to Al-Masirah TV, a fire broke out at the oil refinery early Sunday morning.

The Saudi Ministry of Energy reported that firefighters extinguished the fire, which had started at dawn at one of the Aramco refinery’s facilities. There were no casualties.
