US President Donald Trump stated that he does not believe China or Russia are directly involved in the ongoing Iran crisis. However, he warned that if they were to get involved, the consequences for them would be dire.
In a post on Truth Social on Friday, Trump mentioned that during a recent meeting in Beijing, Chinese President Xi Jinping assured him that neither China nor Chinese companies would supply or sell weapons to the Islamic Republic of Iran under any circumstances.
Trump further added that supplying arms to Iran would not serve the interests of either Beijing or Moscow. In his view, if China and Russia were to provide military assistance to Tehran, the repercussions could be negative for them as well.
