Ibrahim Rezaei, spokesperson for the Iranian Parliament’s Foreign Policy and National Security Committee, has signaled on the social media platform X that Iran could further intensify its nuclear program if it were to come under attack again.
In his post, Rezaei wrote: “If we are attacked again, one of Iran’s options could be to enrich uranium up to 90 percent—a level suitable for manufacturing a nuclear bomb. We will review this matter in Parliament.”
Rezaei’s remarks serve as a potential indication of an escalation in Iran’s nuclear activities—a development widely believed to have the potential to further heighten tensions in the region.
These comments come amidst ongoing concerns regarding the military postures of the United States and Israel, as well as Iran’s nuclear capabilities.
In the context of regional conflicts, the issue of Iran’s nuclear capabilities has consistently remained a central focal point of contention.
